This is a sample of what can be done with page layout applications such as QuarkXPress. A page layout application makes it possible to do the work of an editor, a graphic designer, a mechanical artist, and a typesetter at a single desktop workstation. Other page layout applications for professional use are PageMaker and InDesign, both from Adobe Systems Inc.
